Are new employees feel welcome in your organization? Recent thinking in human resources attached great importance to experience new employees during the first six months of employment. Like many management concepts, is the kind of common sense to think that somehow never put into practice. I mean, who could discuss the idea that if we make new employees feel welcome, we have a better chance to go through what can be a difficult transition to new employees?

As common sense as it may seem I have heard many stories of new employees who were in fact very different feelings of well-received. There was no one assigned to help it was a "sink or swim" proposition. For reasons not clear to them, the former employees were very much in the hospital is unwilling to make any anything that can help them learn quickly (for example) where the bathroom was? Was the new employee's salary, the way he spoke, the threat of someone takes his new responsibilities? It has never been entirely clear, but for whatever reason, were the vibrations were not welcome and in some cases, downright hostile.

Making new employees feel about your decision coming to work for you? Or are they victims of a bad economy, very happy to be working? Or are your expectations very low, as a friend of mine who says, "If work should be fun, he was called golf. "In both cases, with better economic conditions on the horizon in the distance, it's time to concentrate on making less painful transition for new employees. Want to quickly develop an understanding of what your company or organization is trying to achieve and also a certain pride in this. You want to feel comfortable. How to do that? Here are five suggestions:

1. Have someone call a new employee a week before the start date and tell them how you expect your arrival. Twenty years ago, I received a call like a new employer and I remember as if was yesterday. 2. Send a press release announcing arrival. It is important to have some ongoing media outreach campaign. Articles about your organization in the newspaper is something new Employees often remarked to friends and family with a sense of pride. There is some win-win strategy.

3. Before the start date, to appoint a collegiate organization to be a "buddy" or mentor. This is different from a supervisor. This is a pair to which the new employee can obtain information on the practical useful advice as where to hang your coat and other characteristics of the corporate culture.

4. Make sure the supervisor has been assigned, knows the importance of being very active with the new employee during the next few weeks. This is not the time to a time control of two-week conference. Monitoring Contact must be at least once a day during the first weeks. Should not be a long conversation but just a touch to see how things go or to give early response. It is much easier to back track contact less common than it is to intensify the calendar. Supervisors must be committed to success of all employees, especially new ones.

5. Introduce all new employees to the head. This should be more than a handshake compulsory while providing an opportunity to take pictures. This should be the first hope that many times when the employee intends to talk about his role in the planning process successfully.
