What’s the difference between men’s and women’s golf clubs?
My gf is tall at 5’10″, and someone suggested men’s clubs saying the only real diff would be length and very slightly the weight.

Very few companies make women-specific clubs, where more than shaft weight, length, and flex are considered. Most have the men’s clubhead painted a different color (either baby blue, pastel green, or pink), and pretty flowers painted on the shaft.
If your girl is serious about golf, make sure she goes to a certified clubfitter. She’s pretty tall… she might generate more clubhead speed than a “normal” (for lack of a better word) girl, thus needing a stiffer flex (say, an “R” instead of an “L”). Make sure they get lie angle specs for her irons and wedges, as well. Get your girl fixed up properly, so she can be put in the best possible starting point to make a good swing. Her enjoyment will increase faster than if she was struggling with “off the shelf” clubs- thus increasing your enjoyment (see? everyone wins!).
