Unlike many any other sports, golf requires a lot of training and practice. You have to learn how to use your designer golf gear, make sure you have caps merchandise and very importantly choose the proper golf footwear. You definitely can’t become a golf expert overnight so here are a few basic tips for beginners to remember
* Choose wisely- the very first step you should take is to choose your first set of clubs. Its a fact-golf is a very expensive game, this includes its gear and clothing that go for thousands of dollars. As a beginner don’t try to go for the latest branded golf accessories! What would happen if you don’t do well in the sport and decide golf isn’t really for you? A lot of money gone to waste! Good news is many of the high quality brands like Wilson, Dunlop, Ram, Knight do have very affordable clubs available at a bargain price.
Another place to find affordable clubs is at garage sales. professional golfers tend to replace their equipment very often so you might find great quality clubs at a cheap price.
The general rule before purchasing is remember you are just starting out so this isn’t the time to overspend. Concentrate on getting good at the game before considering buying branded and more expensive clubs.
* Learn the game- after you familiarize yourself with the rules, find a way to get lessons. If money isn’t a ‘problem’ for you then you might consider enrolling in a golf school. You’d be able to learn faster there. However if you just want to be able to play the game and enjoy yourself and don’t have a huge budget for it, taking lessons at a golf club would be the better option.

For starters, Par-3 courses are good choices which are shorter than the full -sized courses. It would also be a good idea to inquire about crowds, you wouldn’t want a whole bunch of people to ‘boo’ you when you loose so make sure the course is not that crowded.
