Until a few years, golf shoes have been the areas of golfers. Now, however, incredibly beautiful designs and the scenery, not to mention their commitment all-inclusive resort, makes the course a destination for thousands of tourists every year. Some players others do not. Below is a list of 10 best golf courses and praised worldwide. If you are an avid golfer, you'd better have a goal to visit some of these before hanging up the sticks for good.
1. The kidnappers Cape (New Zealand) – This course, designed by American architect Tom Doak, is a wonderfully challenging and beautiful to see. Green slopes and sharp ravines to challenge golfers of all levels. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Cape kidnappers was based on a sheep farm in the year 2000.
2. Royal County Down (Ireland North) – The number two on the list is the Royal County Down. The green glow in all its magnificent splendor on this historic course overlooking the Irish Sea. Beware holes 7 and 12 … lost more than a bullet and a club was thrown into these holes incredibly difficult.
3. Pebble Beach (USA) – "If I had a more turn to play, I choose to play Pebble Beach. "Jack Nicklaus-Ok, that's all he said. If Jack chooses his final lap there, why not stop your next turn? The golf course at Pebble Beach was recently voted # 1 Golf Resort in America by Golf Digest in 2007. See what the professionals already know … Pebble Beach is the place to play in the U.S..
4. Leopard Creek (South Africa) – Membership by invitation only Leopard Creek contributes to the unique access point for golfers he is. This course was funded and co-designed by the banker Johann Rupert, and with the help Pro golfer Gary Player, this course has become a destination for golfers elite in the world. A tough course was completely renovated in 2000 This course is home to some of the most incredible players in the world, but the crocodiles, hippos, tigers and can be seen here too. Beware of water hazards!
5. Green monkey (Barbados) – Barbados … The Caribbean, these two words are probably sufficient to attract more golfers verify this, but the addition of a name can cinch the deal: Tom Fazio. Known as the designer the best golf course in the world, Tom has been at the forefront of this 45-hole masterpiece. Part of the Sandy Lane Golf season in the Caribbean, Green Monkey has enough beauty and the challenge to make this destination a worthwhile investment.
6. Turnberry (Scotland) – Many of the professionals of the sport after winning the Open here. Norman Watson, Price, to name a few. The resort is located on the first class hospitality of our great sport in Scotland. This alone should help make a visit should Turnberry in your list. The courses are being renovated and will be completed in early 2009, just in time to open, hopefully to be held here again this year!
7. Valderrama (Spain) – Opened in 1985, Valderrama, known for its stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea. Meticulously maintained and cared for, the fairways and greens fee among the best in the world. The beauty of Spain cut the breath, add to the atmosphere. This course must be to believe.
8. St. Andrews Old Course (Scotland) – This is the accepted birthplace of golf. Six courses of different difficulty levels, including a 9-hole course for beginners and children. History is rich here. A must visit Golf Resort.
9. Augusta National Golf Club (United States) – Masters Tournament is played at Augusta National Golf Club. The course is not difficult at all but some issues in recent times have been affected by bad weather, making conditions difficult for players.
10. Ballybunion (Spain) – Located on the west coast of Ireland, Ballybunion is considered one of the 10 best courses in the world, and has one of the toughest par 4 in the world. A favorite Tom Watson, among others, Ballybunion offers beauty and challenging golf.
